I usually hate tea :gag: but have craved it and downed many a cup here lately.
I bought a tea maker thingy today. I only like sweet tea. The recipes call for 1cup of sugar. Will I need more or less nutrasweet or other types of artificial sweetner? I'm trying to cut back on Mello Yello and sugary drinks.

We use a Mr. Tea Pot and it makes 1 gallon....we use 1 cup of sugar in it and it is very sweet....if you use much more than 1 cup, it is going to be syrup-y!

I have either the same tea makers as you guys or one that's similar. I'm from the South so 1 cup of sugar won't cut it for me. I usually end up added more in the end! :drink: I love sweet tea - but it has to be really sweet. I believe my mom gave me the stuff in my bottle or something because I'll never want anything else but sweet tea! Maybe that's why I've had so many cavities...

In the summertime, I sometimes use honey instead of sugar to sweeten it. Also, you can add some sprigs of fresh mint to the basket where you place the tea bags. I usually get fresh spearmint.
