I don't know much about gardening but I had a purple passion plant and I just had it in regular potting soil and it was pretty hardy...UNTIL I tried to transplant it, I killed it but I'm a klutz and have no green thumb.

The Purple Passion can be quite tricky to keep alive based on my past experiences.Try using Osmocote.GREAT fertilizer!!Also DONT over-water.Do you have this plant inside or out??
