Do you all have this? If not, please BUY THIS! We were at a party last night and there was a small fire in the living room (see faulty camera battery thread)... anyway, luckily we got it out quickly... but it doesn't take much flame to wreck wall finishes, carpet and end tables... thankfully our friend who was hosting does have such insurance, and hopefully with a 0 dedectible.

We were SO thankful for our homeowners insurance when we had a water line explode (our falut...we'd just re-done them and one of the fittings wasn't on tight enough:o ) and fill our basement with 3 in of water....over $2000.00 damage was done in just a few hours! I wouldn't risk living without insurance. (whatever type it may be!)

Most people have to have homeowners insurance, especially if you have a mortgage, but most people who rent or lease don't think about insurance.
Renters insurance is cheap enough, that often times when combined with the auto insurance, it pays for itself with the discount you get on your auto insurance for having multi- lines.
Also, homeowners or renters insurance covers for things stolen from your vehicle.

Every renter should have renter's insurance. Friend's of ours had their apartment broken into and couldn't replace some things because they had no insurance to cover their belongings. When they tried to get insurance after that, they were denied by every company they talked to because they had had a break-in! Get it now before something happens because it's much harder to get it after.
I just recently brought renter insurance from State Farm after a friend of mines lost everything in a fire in his apartment.
