Ugh! My garder area is in the shade. And I don't want any more hastas, I'm quite bored with them to say the least. But what could I plant in the shade that will flourish?

I'll speak for the periwinkle - its so beautiful, and it stays green all winter long. Its very easy to care for also - just keep it weeded.

Thanks for the info guys, I'll be looking into all of the ones you mentioned, plus the websites! I didn't know that lily of the valley grows in the shade; in my Dad's garden they were in the sun. They smell great!

They are really hardy and will grow just about anywhere. I have some in the sun and some in shade, I found the shaded ones multiply the fastest. You have to check out the pink, they are sooo pretty!
