Mosquitos! Help!

We have a terrible mosquito problem in our yard. Nothing collecting water but we do have a lot of shady areas and shade type plants. Any suggestions? I'm having a birthday party for my husband Friday and I don't want the guests to be eaten alive!

Have you tried citronella candles? There are also bait stations/traps you can put out that attract the mosquitoes to another part of the yard and then traps them, but I'm not sure how well they work (and they're probably pricey). Good luck! I hate those little buggers! :)
