Oriental Salad
2 pkg's Ramen noodles
1/2 c sunflower nuts (optional)
1/2 cup slivered almonds (or more if you like)
1/2 c butter
sm. head of purple or green cabbage
1/2 cup or more green onions (chives)
1 c oil
1/2 c vinegar
1 c sugar
2 tsp. soy sauce
Brown in oven: Ramen noodles (broken up & slightly crumbled), sunflower seeds, & slivered almonds w/ melted butter drizzled over them. Cool while...
...shred cabbage & slice chives.
You can combine the noodle & nuts mixture to the cabbage & onions now or wait & combine the noodles & nuts when you add the dressing.
Dressing: Combine oil, vinegar, sugar & soy sauce well.
About 20 minutes prior to serving, add your dressing.
This is sooo good. Great w/ dinners, for lunch or a snack.
