Does anyone have a recipe for Italian sausage using a crockpot?

Mel- Can the Sausage and Tortellini Soup be done in the crockpot?

Nemo- I'll post some recipes when I get on my computer. Hubby and I traded for the night and I don't have the recipe on this one!

I don't know, I think the tortellini would get to over cooked and mushy.........but I could be wrong, or you could add it at the last hour? I don't know, maybe I'll have to try it out.

Nemo, when I do my sausage in the crockpot here's what I do:

Take the sausage and brown it on the stove top, just get the outside nice and browned, then dump it in the crock, to that I add:

28 ounce can of whole tomatoes {RedPack is my favorite}that I cut up or break up with my hands
1 cup tomato sauce
1 can tomato paste {6 ounces}1/2 cup dry white wine
1/2 cup white wine
1 1/2 teaspoons dried basil
1 1/2 teaspoons dried oregano
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 tsp sugar
1 green pepper sliced
1 red pepper sliced
1 med onion sliced


Put that all in the crockpot turn it on low and let it cook away for about 6 hours on low, then I check to make sure its cooked all the way, usually it is.
