Bad smells

Hi everyone,
I rented an apartment in May and I absolutely hate the way it smells. I have tried candles, air freshners, and cleaning like a maniac but the smell is still there. I am not quite sure what it is but I hate it. I can not even describe what is like. The apartment had brand new carpet, fresh paint and new vinyl floor when I rent it so I can't quite understand why it smells.

Sounds like there could be mold in the walls. I would talk to your apartment manager and ask if they've had it tested. That could be a VERY expensive problem for them so they may have wanted to cover it up with the new carpet, paint and flooring. Definitely have that checked out and read through your lease to see what the contingencies for breaking it are.

Thank Csara. The smell is driving me nuts. I came to the office today with a cute Jacket but I had to take it off because it smells a lot like the apartment.

Has anyone bought faux blinds on line?

I am looking for a good price for the blinds, would like the tape on blinds also.
