Cleaning tricks

On "How clean is your house" a show on lifetime (Monday nights at 11 BTW) they use Tide to clean everything! Toilets (which I have tried and it works great), miniblinds, etc... Last week they had a crusted over pot that looked like it had set for a month. They put in a scoop of tide and some water, put it on the stove and let it simmer for 10 minutes. The junk rinsed right out. I thought that was a nifty trick.
Does anyone have any other cleaning tricks?

Good tip! Borax is also a great all-around cleaner. You can use it to soften your water in the laundry, as a laundry booster, you can scrub your sink with it, clean your toilets, etc. LOVE IT!
