My Twin Sister's Bathroom

My DH is working super hard...
My twin sister has a tiny bathroom,
okay, smaller than mine, so I didn't think she could really do anything PRETTY with it...

I will be updating this,
because the repairs have just started..

This is her Vanity...
Only took a month to come in..
We're still waiting on the 2 TOWER'S to show up...
They will sit on top so she can store her towels,cloths,etc...

I think her bathroom is going to rock, shocked me at well it has come along..
its going to look better than MINE...
(which doesn't surprise me)

Oh the 2 sides of vanity open up so she can store her bottles of cream,hair spray, etc...
I should have opened it, and took a pic..

I think the under mounted sink looks great, and finishes the top...PERFECTLY..
(Mine is going to be a bowl sink, so no under mount for me)

Well My sistes bathroom is now complete, I am going over there tomorrow after work to take the pics, I cant wait to share them with you.
My sister came over bragging, and now I cant wait to get over there and check them out..weeeee FUN!

How do I say this...
The bathroom is CUTE???
Remember its VERY SMALL...
But they paid 8500.00 for this...
Oh and than when the guy was done, he went to my mom for MORE MONEY..
My sister and I didnt ask my mom if she paid the LOSER...
but I have to say, I WILL NOT GET THIS DRUNK to do MY HOUSE!!
I'm sorry, U can tell I am LIVID...
Perhaps because DH is in the stone biz, installs tiles, granite, marble,
kitchens, bathrooms, floors, counter tops, back-spashes..
Yet he isnt a home fixer kinda of guy...
he deals with homes worth a million or more sometimes..

So when my mom hooked my sister up with her friend to take this job on...
her bathroom..
and when I found out how much..IT WAS TOO LATE...
I wouldn't have paid more than 3000.00 for her bathroom..
DONE BY A PRO...
I cried when DH and I went to her house..
because now DH has things to do to fix it up.

I will say my sister has learned her lesson, and now having to deal with this guy in COURT!
shame really, but U will see what I am talking about..
I blame all party's here..
The guy liked to drink..Even brough his beer to her house..or when he needed more, would ask my sisters hubby to pick upa 6 pack.
The guy started at 2pm sometimes,
and because he was a friend of my mom, my sister trusted him enough to give hima key, while she worked, he could work.
We just learned, he is trying to bill my sister hours he worked, claimming my sister was working, so he went there, remember I am the one who pics my sisters daughter up, and this guy wasn't there at 4pm when I got there with my neice!!!
(this is why its going to court)

Doesn't match the tiles in shower..like he said they would...
and the grout,Well as U can tell its white in the shower area...when it should have been the colour "hay"

Okay here is the vanity installed...
As U can see it hangs over the door frame...
WHICH HE TOLD US WAS CUSTOM BUILT...
Custom to us means MADE TO FIT THE SPOT...
Okay..so far he was drunk, colour blind and I assume half brain dead!

Oh look more SILICONE...
I think I will dream of Silicone for the rest of life!!!!
Silicone is needed, but it should have been done CLEAR..
any pro would agree!

I don't know why this guy did this..
But do U see the CHUCK of tile missing, he GROUTED to TRY to hide???
DH has NO IDEA why the guy did this...
its one of those things, that makes NO SENSE to us..

So this is all the pics I have for now..
I plan on taking more..
U still need to see how the counter top is too close to the Toliet,
the toliet handle U have to PUSH UP to flush...
oh and U need tiny hands to get to it...he DIDNT MOVE THE TOLIET..
he was TOO LAZY to do HARD WORK!!
Work he was PAID TO DO...
U still need to see the mirror is hung sideways, rather than upside right..
I still need to take a picture of the tub...
this tub is great..so no biggy there...

Gosh, I sure do feel sorry for your sister. Hopefully she'll get some of her money back in court. It would have been beautiful if it was done right!

Dear Gosh Lisa! Thats devastating for your sister and I'm sure she feels taken advantage of, I know it doesn't help but the tiles and everything she picked out is absolutely georgeous!!
I am so sorry that it wasn't put in right, I hate people that do that!

I think it was a good plan. nice tiles, nice colors...But the :drink: ..really messed it up

You make me laugh out loud.............not because I am not sympathizing with you or because I can't feel your pain and FRUSTRATION. You remind me of myself. You are sooooooooooooooooooo ticked off. I can feel your anger!!!! It's like you are trying to scream (and rightly so) through the typewriter.

The thing is, insurance doesn't cover faulty workmanship so the only way to go is to court. You will have no problem winning. However, it is still a pain to have to go through it. I feel for you and your sister.

We had tile put down in our kitchen, laundry room, and enclosed porch (big rooms) and 1/3 of them cracked. I guess there was a problem with the underlayment not being dry. So when it dried the tiles cracked. Well, the guy who put the floor down blamed the tile itself and the tile people b lamed the guy who put the floor down. By the time they decided whose fault it was, the tile was not being made anymore. Soooo we had some replaced with the extras we had but then still have many tiles cracked. So you can go to court.....................if you are married to someone other than my husband who does not want to make waves. He hates confrontation. So we have a cracked floor. Every time I vacuum it, I see every single crack-------and IT MAKES ME SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MAD!!!!

By the way---I have the same faucets:)

I DREED having to go pee when I visit her..
but being PG, what can I say..

basically thou, everything is half started in my house..
my bathroom half done..
my hallway still has sub-flooring..
I HATE WALKING ON IT...but have too, its the main hallway to the house..
DD's room is almost done, still needs baseboards installed, but they are laying up against her wall...LOL
babys room has no carpet, eeky floor waiting to for DH to install the wood floor there..
the puter room has the new flooring, no baseboards..and STILL no idea what colour to paint it..
the main bedroom (mine) sub-floor, since I cant make my mind up on what kind of floor/or colour to put in..should have kept the crappy carpet at least I wouldnt be walking on sub-flooring..LOL
I guess U can say, my kitchen is complete..
hmmm nope..still needs new flooring, and I have the new sink in basement, but I'm stuck between 2 different granite countertops I want..
(wish I could have both)
