Ceramic Tiles for Personal Touches

If any of ya'll have window shopped the larger Home Improvement stores and their Floor and Wall Departments you may have noticed a small variety of Art scenes available on 4 1/4 inch wall tiles with themes of all kinds of things from fruit to Turtles and wild life pictures that are put together by applying a picture to a dozen tiles or so. I have an old friend who has been painting in oils for many years and has applied her creations to these tiles through a very prestigious group of Artists at a web site that many of you might be interested in taking a look at.

Hey there TT! I hadn't even seen this before now - so I'm going to go look at your friend's website. Being a "sort of" artist myself, I love ALL kinds of art and especially when people can find ways to bring their expressions into other's homes. I am Glad you found this Thread THFred. Perhaps another Head will take a look as you have Led. The Tile sales are far from being in the Red, and people are probably just climbing out of Bed, but with all things being said, I will probably never be Wed. :dance:

Those are awesome! But I didn't see any prices on the site? I don't want to call them and waste their time if I can't afford them, kwim? do you happen to know the average cost per tile?

You know, those would be awesome just in frames in the bathrooms or kitchen,

It would be neat to have family or pet photo's done in tiles. I loved the site and i would love to have my dog done on a small table. Maybe bedside or chair side.

Indeed it is a wonderful site to reproduce your images for a lifetime of wonderful memories and so much more. Prices vary from the size of the picture and the number of tiles you wish to imprint on the ceramic. I have seen some that can be purchased for less than $30 dollars and others at the bottom of swimming pools that can go upwards of $700. The basics are rather inexpensive for those that are mass produced and the Custom Images are a bit more. I really haven't received a direct answer to my querries as to a solid price since there are so many variables as to the quality of the prints that may be submitted to the company and their ability to reproduce what you wish to see as an end result. Satisfaction is in the eye of the beholder. From what I have gleened from the information that I have received, the satisfaction rate has been enormous.

The only way to find out about what you might wish to imprint on a tile is to inquire, directly. From what I understand, questions don't cost a red cent..
