The changes of season aren't very dramatic here, but with Spring right around the corner and a baby on the way, we have a TON of things to do around the house. Last night, while out to dinner and waiting for our food to come, DH and I made a list of the things we still have left to do. What are your "to do" lists this Spring? I will come back and post mine later (it's downstairs right now and if I go downstairs, I'm not coming back up for a while). ;)

Here's our list of things to do (thankfully a lot has already been done so it's not included)...
1. Paint fence and install lock
2. Pressure clean and seal driveway
3. Rust-off house (front and back)
4. Spray round-up on driveway
5. Cut-back crotons on side of garage and install walkway to backyard
6. Install t-molding in 3 upstairs bedroom doorways
7. Empty and reorganize closet in loft
8. Dig up grass around front 2 trees and place mulch around base
9. Return extra gardening supplies (hopefully get credit to go towards outdoor storage chest)
10. get lighting for backyard
11. Order new blinds for master bedroom (1 window)
then there is stuff to do for the baby:
12. paint nursery
13. order furniture/pick out bedding
14. register
baby's closet was completed today!!! my dad came over and finished the shelving. So.......the room is completely empty and cleaned out now.

Here's mine so far--not necessarily in this order...
1. Finish sanding/sealing playscape. Complete the installation.
2. Landscape and lighting around playscape area.
3. Create a crushed-granite pathway from driveway into backyard.
4. Buy a closet organization system for boys' closet.
5. Finish caulking around baseboards in kitchen/dining.
6. Pull weeds (both front & back yards)
7. Have load of compost delivered. Spread compost.
8. Mulch around trees and beds.
9. Finish preparing/planting vegetable garden.
10. Install trim around border in boys' room.
11. Pull everything out of garage and only allow things back inside that we NEED... Freecycle everything else.
12. Touch-up paint all around house. Seal cracks.
13. Replace every silk plant in house with a real one (hate how dusty silk plants get).
14. Finish trim around new cabinets (already installed) and shelving in laundry room.
15. Choose colors and paint master bedroom/bath.

Trina, I have a question for you about compost since I noticed you had to spread some... what exactly do you do with it? The house we just bought has a compost pile in back, well, I thought about tearing it out but I didn't because I didn't know what to do with it and I wanted to find out, you just reminded me...thanks :-)

wow - you guys have a huge list!! Good luck with all that.
In the month of may I hope to:
clean out all cupboards
put trim up in kitchen,
caulk and paint trim in kitchen
finish half wall in kitchen
wash windows in house
Then when June comes I hope we can build a patio out back, but we'll see about that . . .
