Okay - you guys may or may not care about this - but I JUST HAVE to SHARE!
The lady who is our teller at the bank has a farm with her husband just down the road from our house. My husband is always telling her that I always comment on wanting to get out and pet her two donkeys.
Well, GIRL DONKEY got pregnant so we've gotten to watch her "progress" until I said the poor thing just waddled along looking like, "please! someone help me get this baby out!"
Well anyway, the GIRL and BOY Donkey are rescues and aren't really very tame, but my husband said if they needed anything in the way of making a place for the new BABY Donkey to just let us know because I'd probably be down in a nanosecond! So.... she called yesterday and said WE HAVE A NEW BABY DONKEY!!!!!
We're going this weekend to see him/her and I really cannot wait! We're all hoping that it will help make MAMA and DADDY a little more tame.
So I have a question... does anyone know what donkeys like? I would assume it would be apples or carrots just like horses, but I don't know that for a fact. I can always run down to the co-op or Tractor Supply Company and ask there, but I thought maybe someone here would know.
Anywho - if I can get hold of a digital camera, I'll try to get a pic for you all! YEAH! I'm a godmother!
