Bedroom Paint

I have a spare bedroom that is painted a very light green and has light green carpeting. The woodwork is white and one wall is all shuttered windows. My questions is this. I want to change the paint color of the room but I don't want to change the carpet. What color should I paint the walls to go with white woodwork and a light green carpet? Suggestions?

depends what type of look you are going for..
i think a light beige would look nice.

That's my problem. I have no clue what look I am going for:) There is a huge wooden carved antique bed in the room that is almost too big for the room. However, I really have no other place to put it and I don't want to get rid of it. There are no window treatments on the windows--except the shutters on the lower half---but I tend to shy away from curtains anyway. There are two oak dressers and a couple of wicker chairs in the room as well.

My sis-in-law did a room in what was called "cement"-- kinda beigey grey... I really like it.

BTW, here at least, Walmart brand paint is top line Gliden brand, so it's a good deal. My mom just got her living room painted in yellow (called "Uplifting") and it is bee-u-tee-ful and was great stuff to work with.

beige is simple, yet U can never go wrong with it..
or a soft taupe colour...
As my mother tells DH everytime we tell her we are RE-painting..
"Son...beige and white"

I painted her guess room a deep red..
within a year, she had DH, myself and twin sister in there painting it beige with white trim!!!
