unopened buds falling off rose bush

I planted a new rose bush last weekend and several of the unopened buds have fallen off. I have fertizied and I water every day.

Why are the buds falling off and what can I do?

D~Did you ever figure out what the issue was with your roses? I have been growing and experimenting with roses for some time now and only after about 5-6 years have I been a little successful with them.

Nicole, every article that i read said that often times, buds fall off due to shock or underwatering. I may have over fertilized, I don't know. I kind of let my roses go to pot though, with our rediculously hot summer. I got really bad about watering and they died. Hopefully next year I will stay on top of it.
