These bushes seem to have a lot of names:
Mexican Love Vine, Mexican Fire Bush, Mexican Flaming Vine.....
This is what they look like:

Anyone have them? How do you maintain them? We have 5 of these on one fence in our backyard. Since the heavy rains, they have grown like crazy and are blooming a ton of flowers. They look really pretty, but are getting a bit out of control and we don't really know how to prune them. Any ideas or suggestions on how you trim these suckers?

We can call Edward Scissorhands to do the pruning for ya. :eyebrow:
Pruning of Mexican love vines can be done either by October or by February. Prune the vines by October when the last flowers are fallen, and in February before the plant's new growth. For overgrown Mexican love vines, prune the stems up to2 inches of its hard wood and leave branches that has leaves from the previous year. Cut all shoots within 2 inches of hard wood growth from last year when your vines are growing compactly. After pruning in the month of October, let the soil dry and apply tepid water every after four - five days. For the succeeding months vines are dormant until late February of the next year. Ttemperature must be kept within 50-60 degress with indirect sunlight. Within this temperature, you can allow the soil to go pretty dry and watering can be done every after 2 weeks.
