We've been looking at new appliances lately and it is so tempting to just buy a new EVERYTHING! I think the first thing we'd replace is our fridge. It's used the most and we'd love to move our current one into the garage so we have an extra one. What about you?

Being that we just bought a new house, we'd been appliance shopping too. God, there is just so much to choose from! With the purchase of our house, six appliances were included, so we had a lot of shopping to do. It was so fun!:D The only one we couldn't choose, was the washer dryer. Condo rules state that after owning the property for a year, we can change the washer/dryer, but until that time, we're stuck with the one they chose. It's stackable, but very basic, and top loading, and we were wanting something front loading because it cuts your hydro use by nearly fifty percent! So that will probably be the first thing we change.

The one appliance we splurged on was the stove. Mike does ninety-nine percent of the cooking, and he's all about kitchen appliances and gadgets. We went with a flat top cooking surface, which has adjustable burner sizes, and a warming burner. The oven itself has a split rack inside, so you can have a full shelf on the bottom, but take out part of the top rack so that it's only a three quarter rack. That way you can accomodate a large roasting pan on the bottom, without having to put your top rack right to the top of the oven.

We replaced our fridge almost immediately after we moved into our house. I really love the look of stainless so I wanted to update the white appliances and the fridge that was in there was a piece of $#%$. You know that scene in Office Space when they take the printer out a field and beat it with a baseball bat? That's what I felt like doing to the old fridge. So we bought a much better fridge that was stainless but have yet to replace the rest of the appliances. It's kind of hard because we plan on probably moving in the next few years and only the fridge would go with us, all the other appliances would stay if we bought new ones. I think we would replace the dishwasher next though, if we decide to go ahead with it. Oh and I forgot, we replaced the washer and dryer when we moved in as well.

LMAO Yonks! We went to Best Buy this weekend and my DH did say (jokingly ofcourse) "I'll take one of each". :biglaugh: It would be so nice to replace all the appliances with stainless. I love new appliances and I am so sick of these plain jane white ones that came with our house. :p

I hear ya! We have not put much into the house we are in now because we do not plan on staying much longer. But watch with the next one! LOL! We plan on only moving once so I will be able to out it all into the next one!
