I knowit Krysti. I bet you anything that gas sellers are reaping record profits too. Ever notice that when crude prices go up, gas prices follow; but when crude goes down, gas prices stay the same? hmmm... someone is cashing in. I feel really badly for people on fixed incomes who can no longer afford to drive.

On average, it's about $2.09 for regular unleaded here in Austin.

95 euro cents/litre - something in the range of about $1.15 USD a litre - $4.35 USD/gallon.
I know at least one place in sweden is 23 kronor a litre - that's 2.94 USD per LITRE -$11.12 USD per gallon.
I can harken back to when expensive gas was 90 cents a gallon - my parents swore that if gas ever went higher than a quarter a gallon they would stop driving - but it did, and they didn't.

On our way back from Fl. this past weekend we seen prices as high as 2.50 a gallon in Ga and SC. We figured it was because they were evacuating parts of Fl. :vent:

Its 91.4 a cent per. litre here..
and outside of Ontario its a Dollar per. litre...
They tell us to get use to it..that its only going to get highier soon..
I try hard to walk with the babe, but most of the time we drive..
Far too humid and hot to be walking, as well, friends and appointments are too far to walk.

Lisa-- it was $1.04 a litre here (NB) on the weekend! Crazy! (but its "down" to 99.9 again as of Sunday). I remember 5 years ago there was a price war here... gas was 30 cents a litre! Hard to believe.
It went down again here today. It's $2.13 now.

30 cents eh!!!
Those were the days...
I just remember thinking last-year... 65Cents was a deal...
HA...
Do U guys ever get a "Gas Day"?
We do once a month from the Radio Station..
They let us know ON THEM ...
1 Gas Station in our city has the cheapest gas...
From 5am till 8am...
HA HA...
Funny thing..We all wait for the Radio to tell us, and its last minute..
Amen I worked early, and now Sydney gets up..
Cause I'm the one calling everyone..
Not that it goes super cheap...
But PPL all line up..with gas PPL pumping our cars..
It takes about 45 mins to get to the pump...
while they pump it, and take our money!
THATS FREE SERVICE!!!
***See why I go***
Plus..say like today..
its 88.9
If it were Gas Day...
It would be 75Cents...
Yes we all flock like theres no tomorrow, even thou we aren't saving much..
A few PENNIES...

The irony that NB (aka Irving Land) has the highest gas prices in the nation is not lost on me. Frikkin greedy money grubbers!
Heck, I'd be there for gas day too!! Even if it is more of a psychological boost than anything else. :) They don't do them here in NB, but Halifax does -- my BIL chases them all over the city (he's veeerrry Scottish, so pennies DO count hahaha). I think KC Irving and sons hit these too. heh heh.
We've been buying gas at our local Co-Op-- although prices are the same, for every litre you buy, you get 3 cents of co-op money to use in the store. It's something anyway. Haha-- we do have to drive about 15 klicks to get there though, which of course undercuts. :) Its also a psychological thing I guess.

Yep, gone up here too. I filled up today and didn't even bother to look at the price, I just headed toward the cheapest in town and cursed the whole way there and back.

Well as of today our cheapest gas is 2.79 a gallon...they actually had a report on the news with a gas station and the worker said someone called them to make sure their pumps could go past $3.00 a gallon....I pick and choose where I go now. My poor dad drag races an hour from home. It stinks because he fills the drag car and his truck to haul the car with. My husband bought a Harley in May and it takes 8.00 to fill it and he uses high test and it lasts a week. Maybe we should all ride bikes

The day after Katrina hit us (Friday), it was $2.69 for the low grade. I'd imagine it's probably even higher today...

It's 2.56 a gallon here.....suppose to be higher this evening
:vent:
It's $2.48 here. It went down about .10 cents since last week. A lady at one of the gas stations told a friend that sometime between 2:00 this afternoon and 5:00 in the morning that it will probably go up .20 cents!!!
Unbelievable!! I wish the government would step in and do something.

We are up to $3.17 here! The Gov needs to do something! I was told that over $1.00of it is taxes! They should reduce that for the time being untill everything is back up and running again! If we can not afford Gas we can not go to work, If we can not go to work then the country stops "working".

We're at an average of $3.02 here. I'm convinced that it doesn't need to be this high and that individual gas stations are severely price-goughing...cause right now, they can and will get away with it. Oh, and it's Bush's problem that the gas prices were high to begin with. Can't see him doing anything about it now. People won't stop buying gas just cause it's so expensive~!

I agree TL... total gouging and fear mongering going on... oh, and just in time for labor day when people will drive. What a coinkydink! It's 5.20/gallon here (about $4.60US)... insane! Our premier kindly solved the problem for us all and it's simple: drive less! What the...? I don't know anyone who drives more than they have to, just for kicks. He's such a dolt. grrr.

I haven't ventured out yet today. Last night the cheapest was $2.79....High test was $2.99....I'm sure by now its up there. I'm sick of this already and we haven't even begun....I can't even imagine the heating bills.NY gets pretty cold around the holiday season. I started Christmas shopping early so it won't be a big deal later. Brenden's birthday is Dec. 23rd so I think this year will be a quieter party. Oh well got to work and buy gas so other things will have to wait.
It's 2.99 across the board here. I asked a lady at the gas station a little bit ago if they knew how much it was going to go up to and she said possibly $4.00/gallon.
And now they are talking about shortages....
This is getting scary!!

we are up to $3.39 a gallon here.....and have it heard that it is only going to rise higher since it is a holiday weekend.

My grandma went to the drugstore to get her meds and when she passed the gas station it was $2.99 for premium then not even an hour later she went home and it was $3.29. Why don't they just jack it up to 5.00 a gallon jeez......

I think the news said the $6.00/gallon was in Atlanta and the local (and national) news outed them for price gouging! The prices AREN'T that high "yet" but this one guy was already trying to get that!
People are such turds! It's definitely going up daily (sometimes more than once a day) here in Tennessee - and going to get worse. :bullshit:

the going rate around here seems to be $2.99 a gallon. I have seen them as high as $3.19ish, but nothing higher then that.

09-05-2005, 06:01 PM
Its $3.55 a gallon for cheap junk. My van hates it but thats what its getting....I put 20.00 in the other morning and it gave me 6.21 gallons......

It was 2.89 here yesterday, within 30 minutes it was up to 3.19........:vent:
Now, living in the buttcrack of the nation it will cost me $10 to drive to town to buy a .85 loaf of bread
Are gas prices down where you are? We are at $1.99 average. The cheapest place is $1.97.
