This came from TLC's show 'Property Ladder', a show about "flipping" properties. I had seen this episode but never caught the town that it was in. I can NOT believe this home was so darn cheap! That exact same house here, in the a-crack of the universe would go for $200,000.
So, for all you Texans.......where the heck is Spring, Tx? Is it like a bad neighborhood or something? Why is property so darn cheap?
According to the show comparable homes in that neighborhood sell for around $120,000 :eek:

Propert Value changes with the area your in
We live in MS with a 4 bedroom 2 bathroom home, good size house on 1 1/4 acre and baught it all for 43,000...my mom just baught a house a little smaller then ours in FL with a small yard and spent 180,000...loacation loacation.
I dont know why that matters so much but then again theres no work in our area we are out in the country, my husband has to travel for work and I work for a company 1 hour and 45 minutes away, they let me work from home so thats good but theres no real work around my small town.

Same here, there's NO work. We have ppl with Master's degrees working as cashiers at Wal Mart. It's a sad place but even as sad as it is, property is high here.........maybe not "high" but too high for the area. A 1 acre plot of land down the block from me *with a burnt house that had to be removed* sold for $20,000 last month. It's insane!

I actually live in Spring Texas. It's just a little surburban area just north of Houston. It's OK.....I'm looking to move out of the neighborhood I'm living in though.

In the 10 years I've been here, it's definetely taken a turn for the worst.
