engagement rings & wraps

Hi - I'm new to this forum, but it looks like so much information! I got engaged this past weekend (2nd time around), & am going to ask a stupid question . . . I have a diamond solitaire, but there is a wrap to go with it. It will come in about 3 weeks, since it was in yellow gold, & I wanted platinum. My question is - do you wear the wrap with the engagement ring, or only after you're married? The jeweler talked like some people wear then with their diamond, & buy another thin band to use at the wedding - I thought the wrap was like a wedding band . . . what have you guys done?

I would wear the wrap as a wedding band after I was married.......of course that's only if I could contain myself :D I do love jewelry! But that's just me. If you like the look better w/ the wrap and want to wear it, I'd say go for it!
Anyhow, CONGRATS on the engagement and welcome to the boards. I'm planning my second time around too! Hope to exchange some ideas with ya.

I have a diamond solitaire that I got as my engagement ring. I got a wrap to go around it after we were married. So, for me it is my wedding band. (I also had mine saudered (sp?) together so I wouldn't loose them.)

So, for me, anyways, it serves as my wedding band.

R2RW....you have a tanzanite engagement ring?!?! OMG, I LOVE tanzanite. That is my all time favorite stone! I bet it is gorgeous!

this year will be our 10th ann. and I want a gold band with ten diamonds on it....I looked at Zales online and they had 8 or 11 diamonds....My search goes on!!!! Its not until November 26th so theres time...

Min I looked the toher night also (both here & elsewhere online for a similar pic) & couldn't find anything. I even tried taking a pick of mine & couldn't get it to focus right I was going to look through my proofs & find the shot the photographer took at our wedding.

BTW, I stopped by the store we got our rings from & priced out how much it would be to add the kids' birth stones (amethyst & ruby) & it will only run about $150 (a lot cheaper than I was afraid it would be).
