Carmel Apple Pudding Cake

I made the most amazing apple recipe the other day and thought I would share it. I did change a little of it to make it my own. I always have to do that.

Carmel Apple Pudding Cake

2 large Apples
3 Tbs lemon juice
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
pinch nutmeg
1 cup flour
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 cup milk
2 tbs melted butter
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup pecans
3/4 cup caramel ice cream topping
1/2 cup water
1 tbs butter

Grease 2 quart baking dish and preheat oven to 350. Thinly slice apples and arrange apples evenly on bottom of baking dish. Sprinkle lemon juice, cinnamon, and nutmeg over apples and set aside. In medium mixing bowl mix flour, brown sugar, baking powder, and baking soda. Add milk, melted butter, and vanila and mix well. Stir in pecans and spread evenly over apples. In a small sauce pan bring caramel, water, and butter to a boil. Pour over batter. Bake for 35 minutes or until center is set. While still warm put in bowls and serve with ice cream! Yummy!

*with the nutmeg use very sparingly or the taste will overtake the whole cake.

I just thought I would share this recipe because it was awesome and a good treat for anytime.

that sounds wonderful! Is it more like cake or pudding? I love carmel-apple flavored stuff warmed up with a little bit of vanilla ice cream!!!
