Bulb planting

I'm wondering if anyone plants bulbs? I have to wait until Spetember but I want to get some new beds put together first. What bulbs do you plant? I have good luck with Iris and Glads. Daddodil work anywhere. Tulips never work. Maybe if I try a raised bed and bring in good soil I may have a chance.

I plant bulbs every year. Luckily because of our weather, I don't have to wait till a certain time of the year. I just buy what is at the store or purchase them online and plant them in the garden. I always plant a bunch of gladdiolas, and we have lillies, and other bulbs, that I don't know the names of.
I have never done a raised bed, so not sure if that will help in the bulbs growing.
