Jalapeno burn

I totally forgot about the fact that touching a jalapeno bare-handed is a huge mistake. I only use a quarter of a jalapeno and was kinda careful in how much I touched and my hands are still burning. I washed them IMMEDIATELY after touching the pepper. Since then I've used white vinegar, vegetable oil (read that online ???), milk, and lots of soap and water. Thankfully the burn is very mild, but I'm afraid to touch anything else including my son. I'm afraid to burn his little skin. Any other ideas on how to cut the sting and wash this stuff completely off my hands?!?!
