Guilty pleasures on the weekend?

How many of you eat healthy during the week and splurge on the weekend? My boyfriend and I try to eat healthy always, but find this avenue especially hard to stick to on the weekend. Last night, we ate almost two pints of ice cream between the two of us, and later topped that off with chinese food.

It's a good thing we both have good genes!!

Ugh. TRYS is the operative word. We've not been doing well. Maybe even not trying that hard! Ugh. Bathing suit season is coming faaaar too quickly!

But yes, weekends are generally when we do splurge-- on weekends we tend to go out to eat, usually breakfast where we have eggs and sausage, or a fatty big muffin (you know, the 600 cal dunkin donut type fare). We also tend to booze it up on weekends, and if we do groceries (and this is usually when it gets done) we are prone to buy movie snacks for the movis we tend to watch weekends. Geeze, we are super indulgent!

we tend to snack more on the weekends (popcorn with movie, french fries at lunch {and that is like maybe once a month} chips and salsa or cheese and crackers before dinner, ice cream, etc) but we eat pretty much the same way every day. We try to be healthy -- always going for veggies/whole grains/lean protein. We are far from health nuts, but we like to eat low fat, balanced meals as often as we can. That way we don't feel badly about the weekend indulgences. I am totally fine with the way we eat, although I'd like to incorporate more fruits as well as protein sources other than meat/poultry. We like our wine... maybe I should switch to red so it would at least have SOME healthy benefits (other than mental health, lol)

This is us for sure. We eat pretty well during the week, but we always blow it on the weekend. I don't feel that bad about it. We love to go out to dinner, and it's about the only thing we spend money on these days. We usually get ice cream or frozen custard a couple times a month, too... always on the weekend. At home, I usually don't eat any differently on the weekends... I still eat fruit for snacks and rarely keep ice cream or other junk food at our house, unless I just have a big craving for it on a rare occasion (hardly ever).

I have been eating really well lately because of this weight loss challenge. One of the girls at work weighed in half way thru the week and saw she had lost 3 pounds. Then the next day weighed in and saw she gained back 2. I told her thats why we had agreed to weigh in only once a week. So I am really watching what I am eating....
