New Addiction

I have a new addiction. My love for steamed soybeans has overtaken my freezer. There is nothing that I want more in life than to suck those little salty things right out of their fuzzy little shell. I really think they need to make a support group for people like me. I've been searching for a way to buy a truckload and get them all into my freezer but I haven't had much luck with that. I woke myself up in the middle of the night moaning, "Edamame, edamame, edamame". My husband is just as in love as I am. I'm beginning to think it's a threesome. Him, me, and our gorgeous little soybeans.
Does anyone else share in this crazy love?

LOL! That sounds dangerous
Well, I've never tried soybeans like that, I've just eaten soy in many of its other forms.

Is it similar to lentils? In Spain we eat a lot of lentils and other pulses, especially in winter. We cook lentils in a stew with leak, carrots, potato, onion, ham and chorizo. I love lentils but I guess I've just craved for them once or twice in life...

We love edamame in our house too! I always have a bag in the freezer. Even my kids like it. I like to put a tiny bit of soy sauce on them. Yum.... now I want some!!!!
They are similar in consistancy to a lentil. I really like lentils also. When I was pregnant, I craved lentil soup and a wonderful lentil salad that I make.
