round kitchen table

We have a round kitchen table and standard (rectangular) place mats just don't fit nicely. Do you think round place mats would work or is that too much circular action going on? LOL! What about a tablecloth? I am just not so sure having fabric hanging over the sides of a round table looks nice either. Ack!! Anyone else have this issue? What do you do for your round table?

I think the round would be great. I have also seen square placemats that might fit better than the traditional sized placemats. I want to get the round ones b/c my current placemats are huge and they overlap (and it drives me nuts).
For my mom's round table, she has some that are the shape of a trapezoid, but she may have had them made.

LOL - same here. It drives me nuts too. I hate the overlap.

I've seen the trapizoid ones too that are specifically made for round tables. I'm sort of at a loss too because we took the leaf out of our table so now it's round and I don't know what to do either!
