How often do you eat?

Like as in each day whats an average daily menu for you?
Me:
Breakfast: coffee(2-3 cups) and toast
lunch: whats that
dinner: whatever I fix (usually I try to fix something healthy)

Most of the time, I eat small meals throughout the day.

Traditionally this is how my meals look like:

Breakfast: cup of coffee, toast
Lunch: usually meat (with rice/vegetables/french-fries and salad) but sometimes pasta or something else
Dinner: usually fish (with vegetables/salad/potatoes) but sometimes eggs

But in the last few months I've been a mess, fortunately that will change (I think) in March

I am really trying to watch portion sizes these days. Here's what most days look like for me:

bfast: toast, a ton of water and coffee

lunch: SOMETHING with some substance: a lean cuisine or cheese and crackers, or half a sandwich, or a few forkfulls of leftovers -- something like that. I usually eat whatever leftover fruit N didn't eat with her lunch. Not b/c I love it, but b/c I know it will fill me up.

snack: this is what kills me -- usually around 3pm I am starving so I have some string cheese and crackers or something like that. Some days I just snack way too much at this point so I am trying to be very mindful here!!

dinner: I mealplan every night, and I have a normal portion of whatever we have - usually a protein/starch/veggie. Tonight it was mahi mahi, rice and steamed veggies.

I try extraordinarily hard not to snack after dinner at all (except for maybe a few times a year a dessert or some popcorn with a movie). I also drink a ton of water through the day - my goal is 48 oz/day. Trying to limit diet soda to 2 cans a day.

Breakfast: Cereal and coffee

Lunch: when I pack one, a granola bar and an apple; sometimes carrots and hummus. If I am home or buy lunch, it's usually soup.

Afternoon snack: This IS my downfall. When I get home around 4-4:30 I am starvin. A fistful of crackers (or ten)... anything I can get my paws on. God help me if there are chips or candy in the house. The 4-6 pm slot is really a killer.

Dinner: Usually a pasta/starch and veggie/salad combo and sometimes meat/fish.

I am pretty good in the evening.... usually a tea satisfies. But if Cor opens chips, I am a lost cause.

I KNOW I do not get enough veggies a day... and probably not enough protien either...

During the week:

I typically don't eat breakfast which I know is a big no-no.

Sometimes, I'll have pb and crackers, chips or something snacky around 10:00.

Lunch - I always eat lunch. It's usually leftovers or fast food.

I don't really snack in the afternoon or evening. Once in a while I may have chips or something around 3:00.

Dinner - we have meat, some sort of side dish - always seems like it's a carb of some kind, veggies and fruit. We try to have vegetables and fruit every night.

On the weekends - I fix breakfast one day and the other we eat cereal. This is almost always between 9 and 10. Then we have a big "nice" meal at some point in the day. So on the weekends we really only eat twice a day. The kids get snacks, but for the most part it's only two meals.

My typical day goes like this:

Bfast: nearly every day I have a bagel and juice, and if I am still hungry, I also have a yogurt or fruit. I am starving when i wake up, every single day.

Lunch: I sit down w/ DS and eat lunch each day, unless we drive in to meet DH on his lunch break, which happens about 1-2x a week. If we do that, we generally have sandwiches at a local sandwich shop, mmm. DH loves their soup, and I love their sandwiches and brownies. At home, I almost ALWAYS eat fruit and / or yogurt (probably not if I had one for bfast), and a sandwich or lean pocket or lean cuisine. I share raisins, pretzels, or apples and peanut butter w/ DS sometimes... and on occasion I have a diet drink with my lunch.

I don't snack a ton, but I don't hesitate to grab a bite of something if I'm starving. it's all about controlling the amount.

I try to drink water, but I am NOT as good as Deana!!!!!!!!! I wish!!!!

Dinner: when DH gets home, we all sit down together and have whatever the dish of the evening is... he cooks just as much as I do, so I'm lucky to not have to plan so hardcore. He is so helpful!! Tonight we had Taco Chicken Wraps, I guess you could call them. We weren't THAT hungry tonight, so we didn't have anything with those... just each had two wraps and called it quits.

Snack: I shared an apple w/ DH around 9pm, and then we popped some light popcorn. I'm terrible about needing a snack after dinner to keep me going til morning.

I am so horrible, I barely ever eat except supper. I will normally get up drink a glass of OJ or milk. Maybe share some fruit with K during her midday snack time but that is it till supper time. I need to get back on my good eating schedule I had prepreggers. I have been trying to start eating at least three times a day, or little meals multiple times a day so I can get back on a healthy cycle for when I get pregnant but it is hard to break bad habits.

Shan, is it just b/c you are so busy, or are you really not hungry, or what? I can't imagine... I would be so hungry that I would be sick. If I don't have breakfast, the entire world might as well close down b/c I feel like I'm going to die!!!!! lol
