Fashion: Jeans

What brand jeans do you guy prefer?

I've been looking for something "new", but that doesn't cost a ba-gillion dollars - and haven't found "IT" yet. I like the trouser-cut jeans... think it's more classic, but I have problems with length because I'm so tall.

So what do y'all like? Brands - styles?

My favorite jeans are mid rise old navy petite. I have the opposite problem. I am only 5 ft tall. They are usually around $29. They last quite awhile. I go with a darker wash because I can dress them up or down.

Another vote for Old Navy jeans. Like Heather, I have the opposite trouble with length. I am 5'5" but have short legs. The short ones are too short but regulars are too long....

I don't usually stick to one brand but I have such a hard time finding jeans that fit right. Seems like everything is low rise or mid rise. Well with these big ol' hips & booty have my crack is hanging out in them. I've been buying jeans at Steve & Barrys since they are usually $10-$12 so if they don't last too long I'm not heart (or pocket) broken.

I've just discovered that I quite like J Crew jeans. They fit and are comfie AND are cheap ($30-50). Of course they are too long, but not with heels.

I'd thought about American Eagle because my niece has some really cute trouser jeans from there... but where do you get Silver Jeans?

Ha, long on me! Apparently I have the appropriate waist/hip size for someone seven feet tall! I bought two pair of trouser-style jeans; LOVE themand I wear them to work even.

Okay I just HAVE to share... you all are GOING to laugh at me!

I went to Old Navy to try on some of their NEW styles of jeans (you know they HAVE several!)

Anyway - I pick out a couple and go to the dressing room, and I did this on our tax-free weekend so I wouldn't have to pay taxes on it... and added discount! RIGHT?

Okay - one of the Sweetheart styles TOTALLY made my BUTT DISAPPEAR!!! And y'all THAT'S SAYING SOMETHING!!! And it was't in a GOOD way!!! I sort of have that "J-Lo Booty"... not wide but the bump in the back sort of butt... TMI! These jeans made me look FLAT as a board in the back!!! It was awful! And they STILL didn't fit my waist! DANG IT!

The Flirt was cute - but there was WAY too much of a waist gap on them... so I gave up and left. Pooh! I think I need to go to J Crew and try those...

Just had to share my shopping woes with my friends!

LOL, THF! That is so funny. I normally really like Old Navy jeans, but sometimes they are hard to fit. Otherwise, the really expensive designer jeans seem to always fit well, but I have only purchased one pair in the past several years. Maybe after baby #2 is born, it will be a good incentive to get fit again and splurge on a nice pair of Sevens or something!

I was going to ask if anyone had any experience with the following brands:

Seven
True Religion
Sammy B
Rock N Republic

I NEED something that comes in longer lengths (most designer brands will so no issue there...) I like a little stretch so I can bend (again most of these do) - but BABY - I GOT BACK! if you know what I mean!!!

I know Applebottom and House of Deron are "made that way" - but they're too "blingy" for me. Does anyone know if any of these are made for ... CURVEY girls? (How's that for saying I got a big butt?!?!)

I'm not familiar with those. I had a co-worker who was a fashion major and she wore Seven jeans. But again she is short like me so I don't know about the length. I've seen your pics THF you are perfect!!!

I just now saw your Q up there about Silver Jeans. I have gotten them at The Buckle, Maurices, and maybe at Macy's... I can't remember for sure though!!! The Buckle is kind of expensive, but I've gotten a ton of use out of those jeans.
