You tried them, I wanted to but am chicken, did it have a "gritty" texture? I can't get past the gritty texture of ricotta in the cremes, I even tried some of the baked ricotta desserts and the same thing. Maybe it was the brand I used, Sorrento, what brand did you use?

I know what you mean about the gritty texture in those ricotta desserts, and although I really don't mind it, the "pancakes" totally didn't have that texture. They are just like sweet eggy crepes (LOL!). You wouldn't even know there is ricotta in there. Just make sure you mix it up really well. BTW, I use the same brand.

Okay, then I'll give them a shot! What did you put on them? Or did you eat them plain?

I had them plain, but I'm sure you can use sugar-free syrup or sugar-free jelly. Jas had regular syrup.

Alright, next trip to the store I'm picking up the ingredients.
Did you try the ricotta creme thingies? I did, hated them, I even put it in the blender, didn't help it.

Yes, I tried the vanilla one and a baked chocolate one. The chocolate one was gross, but the vanilla one was ok. I don't really mind the texture that much. I do prefer jello w/ reddi whip or fudgsicles for dessert though.

Jello and fudge pops are awesome!
Oh and there is another snack T is hooked on that I forgot about. Cheese crisps. Some people on the Prevention forum came up with them. You take some parchment paper, and a few slices of your favorite lowfat cheese, put them down on the parchment and zap them in the microwave for 3 minutes I think, until they bubble, flatten and start to turn brown, take them out and let them cool a minute or two, when you take them off the parchment they are crispy like a chip. He breaks them up and dips them in salsa. When I make caesar salads now, I take some shredded parm cheese and do that to make "croutons" you can do it in a frying pan with some Pam. Love those!

yum, those cheese crisps sound great! I will definitely have to try them out. I found a TON of Phase 1 friendly recipes on the Prevention forum, I think those were on there too. I also came up with another breakfast today, but if you don't like cottage cheese you won't like it. I thought it was delish though.
Add splenda and cinnamon to your serving of cottage cheese and top with chopped walnuts or pecans. I used pecans and it was really good and sweet. Tasted like dessert. YUM!

Yeah, I hear that stuff is great, but I can't do cottage cheese.
I have another list of recipes too if you want to check them out:
Heidi C's collected recipes.
And a site where they broke them up and its EZ board format.

I know, how can you even get through all that? LOL! I haven't tried any of them yet, oh except the Steak Diane, which was really good! I had to tweak it a bit, but it was good.

I have lost 3 pounds in a week. The book says you will lose between 8-13 in the first two weeks, but I doubt I will. I'm not sure if I'm just not eating enough (so my metabolism isn't speeding up) or that I don't really need to lose weight so it doesn't come off as easily.

Number two, and another reason. Don't go by the scale because your weight will fluctuate, especially at different times during the day. Also since you aren't overweight and pretty much eat healthy, you won't have a huge loss.
