Next week's plan
I have a plan for next week!!! I'm so excited, I just can't hide it.
Oh how I hate to cook but I'm sooo much better at it!
Here's the plan (I surfed the net and browsed a huge stack of momma's taste of home mags)
Monday....Psycho chicken (thanks M), broccoli tomato salad, honey roasted potatoes, and no bake cookies
Tuesday....Rosemary pork roast, apple honey dutch baby, mashed potatoes, green beans, and chocolate cream dessert
Wednesday....peppercorn steaks, 2 cheese linguine, french green beans, and dinnerrolls. left over dessert from Tuesday
Thursday....sausage stuffed mushrooms, french bread pizza, and a big salad. and peanut crunch cake
Friday.....possibly OUT TO EAT....if not then terryaki chicken, some veggies stir fried, and maybe rice. Even more possible is a few slices of bread, some ham and mustard w/ a bag of chips

C'mon down C, Kim, and M! I'm not gonna promise that it'll be good but I'll give it one heckuva shot! I'm excited about this I see the 3 pounds I've dropped coming back soon. The grocery store will get paid a visit Sunday. As of now I have 1/3 cup of milk and maybe 10oz of Mello yello....other than that and some canned food my house is foodless

Hey M - two questions... when you do pizza night, do you make your own dough or use a store brand? AND... do you have a recipe for your ziti? I make my own ziti, but I just throw pasta, sauce, ricotta, parm, mozzerella and some spices together and bake. Just wondering if you had a "real" recipe??!

No real recipe here either, I made a huge batch of homemade sauce, so I'll use that. Basically I boil the ziti, toss it in a riccotta, parm cheese, and the homemade sauce, and top it with a little more parm and mozzarella. For the crust....yes I make my own, I use Jamie Olivers "The Naked Chef" or I use CL's, both are good!

Monday: Grilled Lamb, artichoke dip
Tuesday: Tortellini salad and dill bread
Wednesday: Boursin Tomato Soup w/left over dill bread
Thursday: Grilled Lamb again--veg (undecided yet--have a ton from farmer's market)
Friday: Supposed to go to a fireworks thing, so we'll probably be bad and eat a sausage or something down there! Or maybe pack sandwiches, etc.
Saturday: Blueberry Chicken, veg
Sunday: Probably that Chicken in Peanut Sauce Pasta that was all the rage here a few months ago! or Cajun Chicken Pasta

No idea what we'll be eating.... but things have *got* to be healthified around here. We have been such junk junkies in the last little bit. WAY WAY WAY too many trips to the DQ. And to restaurants in general. ANd when we do cook we have been bbqing alot-- which isn't a bad thing per se, but I find I am far more likely to overeat and/or eat desert when we barbeque. Plus I've eaten more meat in the last month than I have in years. Ugh.
Fortunately we're at our cheap veggie peak so I think I'll stock up this w/e and make some veggie chile, so that will do us for a chunk of next week.
And we were really big into salads at the beginning of the summer, so I'd like to get back into that habit.
Hey---that Blueberry chicken sounds very, very interesting... can ya post that sometime Kim?
