Homemade Oxiclean

Ingredient:
1/2 cup of hydrogen peroxide
1/2 cup of baking soda
1 cup of hot water
Directions:
mix together and use in place of oxiclean

I am interested in this. I wonder if it would work as well as Oxyclean. I am addicted to that stuff. The only thing I have concerns about is adding the peroxide to laundry.

You should be able to add the Peroxide safely. I use Hydrogen Peroxide to soak vintage fabrics in. It won't bleach them - and because it's not bleach... it won't turn them "yellow"... it's what they use in hospitals to get blood stains out too! It's safer on the fabric - won't descentigrate it - so that's why they recommend soaking vintage pieces in it!
