I went to K-Mart today to get supplies and actually found a comforter set(bed in a bag) for $40 on sale. I couldn't believe it. I grabbed it of course. It had the comforter,sheet set,shams,pillow cases, and dust ruffle. I grabbed curtains in choc. brown. Now I am at a loss as to what color to paint the walls. I looked online to see if I could find the comforter set but didn't see it so maybe I'll put this one on my bed and get some ideas from everyone as to what color I should paint the walls. Feel free to let me know....

Ceiling and trim= white
carpet= off white
Bedding= pale blue,choc. brown and off white

WALL COLORS?????

Ooooh! I also love that combo Heather!

Low VOC paint is GREAT!

And you've probably already found this out C... but I recommend doing a primer coat ALWAYS - but you can have it "tinted" the same color as you paint! This is REALLY helpful when you darker colors especially! It just makes a big difference!

I use Porter Paints almost exclusively, but I will use Behr or ICI, which is the commercial version of Glidden if I "HAVE" to - but only in a white trim.

And here's a tip in case anyone needs it - if you HAVE to use OIL PAINT (i.e., kitchen cabinets, bathroom, etc.) you can use paint that's labeled for patios and porches. It's made with a non-yellowing type oil and it doesn't matter what you use it on... it DOESN'T YELLOW over time the way normal oil can/will.

*edited to add:
Heather - you posted while I was typing - and I still think blue would be beautiful for the walls... either match your comforter set or go just a shade darker?
