My cousin just got back from there a month ago. she and her hubby went and took their family of 6. They showed me a 300 picture slideshow via the kodak gallery (same one I use when I send you pics)... OMG breathtaking!!!! I could probably post a few of the ones w/o them in them on here. I wouldn't want to show the ones WITH my cousin's fam in them, though. Are you thinking of going, Ms. World Traveler!?!? I tell ya, you are my inspiration.. DH and I are going to take C to Europe when we feel the time is right!! All b/c I told him about you guys, and we are convinced we can take a young toddler, too!!

So, I can't tell you much about these pictures b/c it wasn't MY vacation... but my cousin sure did act like this place was beautiful. I had a hard time even choosing from her awesome pics to show you. She has so many more. Looks like there is a lot to see and do. Her kids are pretty little (one being just a toddler), so if you are thinking of going there w/ jax, I think you can do it!!!!!! Let us know!

Yes, we have tickets to go there in October!!! I am nervous and excited about it. I am hoping to be and also having our 2.5 year old (at the time) so that should be interesting!!

BTW, I couldn't see the pictures. I have to go back and see if I could copy and paste the URL from your posts, but don't have time this minute. Thanks for posting!

I live just across the ditch from NZ in Australia. NZ is a beautiful country to visit. Make sure you spend more time on the South Island than on the North Island. The South Island is definitely the more spectacular of the two. The weather should be perfect in October - in the high teens to low 20's (degrees celcius). Make sure you bring some warm clothes though as the nights will still be cool and NZ is famous for its windy weather, especially in Wellington. The Kiwis fancy themselves as the adventure capital of the world and are crazy about their adventure sports - bungy jumping, zorbing, jet boating etc. Are you coming to Aus at all? I flew to LA in January and it was about a 13 hour flight non-stop from Brisbane to LA.

Nic

giddy, we are flying from San Francisco to Sydney to Auckland, but unfortunately the flight does not allow us a stopover in Sydney - just a connecting flight. We may decide to hop on a flight from NZ to Aus while we are there but it depends on how things are going and if we feel we have enough time since we are only going for 2 weeks! I hate to fly all that way and not see at least some of Australia, but I guess we may have to save it for another time.
