vacations this year? - Travel

Anyone taking a fun vacation this year? We are taking a week-end get away to Niagra Falls in July but not sure if anything else. How about you?

Well for this year...

- I travelled to a few different cities in Germany (although most of the time it was because of work)

- I was in Rome last week, for 5 days... and even saw the Pope heh

- I am going to Paris next month for a week or a bit longer

After April I still don't know...

Well, with a baby on the way and a kitchen remodel in the works - unfortunately we have no plans to travel this year. Then again, you never know with us. We always seem to pick up and go somewhere at some point.

Baby on the way?! CONGRATULATIONS! When are you due?

With Hub working all summer, our vacations this year are mainly for work/family events. MAYBE in early June I will go with hub to Vancouver. He's going for a conference, and if we can swing it (plane fares are soooo gawddamned $ up here-- so far the cheapest I can find is $1200), I might tag along. We have a westcoast book coming out this summer, I might covince my colleague that I should go out in advance of it and talk to book sellers. Maybe he'll front my trip! Muwhahaha. In June we'll go to Ottawa for a surprise anniversary party for hub's parents; then to Toronto in August for sis's wedding. When you live in such a big country with family far away, these sorts of things become your vacation. I swear, next spring, in March-April when we are jonesing for summer we are going south, somewhere, anywhere.

Baby? Whoo Hoo!!!

For us - we went to Florida for Christmas - so with all the home renovations still underway (will it EVER end?) that may be it for us. I wouldn't mind going back to see our friends in Florida... but I don't know that we'll be able to this year...

Yep, baby on the way. I am due at the end of August so another Summer baby for me....this time the WAY end of Summer. Lucky me, I get to be all big and hot. LOL!

Oh C! Didn't you learn last time it's no fun being pregnant in summer?

I'm SO tickled for you! So how many years apart does this make your little ones? I swear I can't remember but it seems like just YESTERDAY! Time flies (we're not getting older mind you...)

Yes, we will find out if it's a boy or girl......in about 5 weeks.

THF - LOL! I know!! This one will be about 3 years, 2 months younger than Jax which I am thrilled about. It actually took us about 9 months to get pregnant this time and I am so glad it worked out this way. I could not imagine having a newborn at home right now.....

Wow! It doesn't seem like it's been 3 years!!! It seems like it was just the other day you were pregnant with Jax!!! Good grief... I'm old!

So with a new one - your vacation plans have been "altered" too I'm sure! With us, it's not the vacation as much as paying for the doggies to all go to "day camp" that costs so much!!

I will be going to Phil (PA) next month for school (honors society convention). We are hoping to do a little racing this year (at least the 2 close races) 1 the track is only an hour away but the other we will have to get a room for (about 3 hours away). Depending on finances I am HOPING to take the kids to Texas in August for my Grandma's 90th birthday party. She's only seen pics of the kids & my Dad might be going down as his 60th birthday present from my mom (none of us have seen her since her last visit up here over 10 years ago). Other than that (and our annual camping trip with hbby's family) we are going to try and do some day trippy things with the kids.
