Posting Pictures

Ok, there are two ways to do this.

#1 if you are posting pictures saved on your PC....you will go to where it says "Attach file" below and click on the "browse" button. Find the location on your computer, hit ok, and submit reply. DON'T preview reply because it will not work that way. Maximum picture size is 500 pixels I believe.

#2 if you are posting pictures from another site (including online photo albums), click the "IMG" button above and paste the url (http addy) of your photo.

How do you post more than one picture per post? Does it have to be a link? or can you do it with pictures saved to the pc?

It has to be link. Here are some free image-hosting sites where you can upload your photos and then link them here:

Shutterfly.com (my favorite)

(it really helps us out with bandwidth issues if you post pictures this way too)

I just thought I'd add a note that Trina found out Imagestation doesn't allow direct links to individual pictures. You can link to an entire album, though.

I'm trying to post a pic via shutterfly, are there any tricks?? I open the pic and copy the URL and paste it in the IMG box. But when I post it, all I get is a red x. I can see others that have posted pics so I don't think it's just my computer...

Joni, I use Shutterfly and haven't had a problem. When you open up your picture do you right click on properties and then copy that URL? That is what I do and then paste it in the IMG box.

I have been dancing around the topics and came upon this one and it seems to function fairly well so far, Shutterfly that is. I am going to take advantage of the 15 free prints that has been offered and see how they turn out.
I bought my first Digital Camera, (Konica Minolta Dimage Z2), this past summer and the ease at placing them in my PC is fantabulous. One of the draw backs is the size of the picture when I care to post them on message boards. Dial up users claim that the image takes forever to load, true as I am on DU. Some boards have an automatic resizing program and others will accept the picture regardless of the size. Others won't accept a picture at all.
I'll let ya'll know how it all develops, so to speak, hehehehe

I'm trying to attach a jpg to my journal. I'm clicking manage attachments, browse, the file, then upload. It then takes me to The page cannot be displayed. Any tips?
